Salvadoran Tourism Entrepreneurs travel to the International Tourism Expo in Panama

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in alliance with the Salvadoran Chamber of Tourism supports the participation of seven Salvadoran tourism companies in the eleventh edition of the International Tourism Expo to be held in Panama between 25 and 26 of March.

The objective of the fair is to support the reactivation of the tourism industry in the region and to ensure that exhibitors increase their business contacts with buyers from large markets interested in the tourist offer. Starting on Friday, March 25, the exhibition will be exclusively for business appointments between exhibitors and tourism buyers, while on Saturday, March 26, it will be open to the general public.

The participating Salvadoran companies have developed attractive tourist offers for international markets, which have great potential to generate business internationally and thus have a positive impact on the economy and tourism in El Salvador.

"We are very happy to participate on this occasion in the Tourism Expo of Panama, in which we know that there will be many interested buyers from different parts of the world and it will be a good experience to present the packages that we have available in El Salvador." "We see in this fair the opportunity to reestablish regional business contacts that were lost as a result of the pandemic, and we are also sure that we can captivate the Panamanian public given the growing interest in our emblematic product Surf City," said the president of CASATUR. , Carlos Umana.

El Salvador's participation in this international fair is possible thanks to the support of the USAID Project for Economic Competitiveness and Corsatur, who facilitate the development of various activities focused on the commercial development of the Salvadoran tourism industry.

The International Tourism Expo is organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), and this year has the co-organization of the Panamanian Association of Hotels (APATEL) as co-organizer.

The fair will have more than 120 exhibition modules; which will house around 150 exhibiting companies and more than 140 international buyers who will be distributed throughout the event.
